We recommend that you use the services of a lawyer, this is to ensure that all the correct documentation is available at the appropriate time and, most importantly, to receive good legal title to the property. We can provide you with the names of firms of English-speaking Spanish lawyers who are members of our panel. They will provide you with the professional advice that you require in order to complete the purchase of your new home.

Competitive Quotation
As a customer of Chesterton Grant you will receive a competitive fee quotation which will be provided by the Spanish lawyers before you enter into the transaction.

Free Legal Fees
It may be possible for you to receive free legal fees paid for by Chesterton Grant if you purchase your new home through one of our real estate partners.

What Else Do I Have To Pay?
· Your own legal fees (unless paid by Chesterton Grant)
· The lenders legal fees
· Stamp duty (on both the purchase and the mortgage)
· IVA or Transfer Tax
· Land Registry Fees
· Notary Fees

These costs can be in excess of 10% of the purchase price and our lawyers can give you an estimated cost at the outset. We strongly recommend that you use an approved lawyer from our panel.
