How much will it cost me? The
Repayment PeriodIn most cases you may repay your mortage over a period of up to 20 years or the period until your retirement, whichever is shorter. Mortgage Limits Lenders normally have a minimum advance of around £15,000 or currency equivalent. There is no upper limit on the amount you can borrow and this is only determined by your financial position and circumstances. The Interest Charges Because we have access to the majority of lenders in the market place, we are in a strong position to negotiate the best interest rates for you, so you can be assured that we are working for you. Fees There is a 1% arrangement fee (minimum £495 or currency equivalent) Insurances Lenders almost certainly require an acceptable life insurance policy and critical illness cover to be taken out reflecting the type, term and amount of your mortgage so that the loan can be repaid in the event of your death. At Chesterton Grant we can advise you on the policies that best suit you and offer competitive comparisons on current protection policy rates, whether in the UK or in any European member state. Property Buildings - it will be a condition of your mortgage that fire cover to protect you policy is take through our approved insurers.
